Fishbone Premium Black Label Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes:           Blended from Yallingup Semillon and Wilyabrup Sauvignon Blanc, the Semillon was fermented and matured in French barrels for six months before blending. The Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend is a classic Margaret River wine style, typically offering aromatics of fresh citrus, stone fruits and crisp balanced acidity on the palate. The Fishbone Premium SSB offers characters true to style, with the introduction of delicate herbaceous notes, hints of gooseberry and toasted oak complexity offered from the oak aged Semillon.
                                    Nose: Gooseberries and delicate herbaceous notes, some vanilla and toast indicate some measured time in oak.
​                                    Palate: Dry natural crisp acid forms the backbone of this striking wine. Intense citrus fruits overlayed with very fine oak derived tannins give a measured complexity.

Fishbone is a Margaret River wine producer, with a cellar door boasting award-winning regional wines and authentic Japanese cuisine. Located in the beautiful Margaret River with its stunning coastline and world class wineries, our Wilyabrup vineyard is home to our Fishbone Black Label single vineyard
varieties. Set on 165 acres, the Fishbone Wines farm is the location of our Fishbone Cellar Door and Japanese Restaurant and is planted with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Tempranillo. The setting of the vineyard is typical to the Margaret River region, north facing with a combination of loam and sandy pea gravel with a well-drained soil structure. The Fishbone, our symbol, represents our philosophy of winemaking – stripped back, raw quality, with a focus on sourcing the best Western Australian fruit, nurtured from vine to glass.
